My boys are growing up.

This past weekend we had the boys birthday party. We typically do not have them together. This year we are planning a big fall shindig the last weekend in October, which is Jatin's birthday weekend... So we decided to have it together to make it easier on mama. I don't think that I will do it again. Not for us.

Heavy Heart

A little over four months ago we lost my darling mother in law.

Virginia Lea Hill "Ginger".

At Grannies surprise party.

We had the amazing opportunity to bring her to our home in her final days. We got to do some of the things that she had wanted to do for months. She had been in the hospital for over six months. She played cards with the boys. Ate homemade food. Visited with family and friends. After 13 days she passed. She is no longer in pain, no longer suffering. It's amazing I've always heard "they are now at peace" or "they are not suffering any more". I really NEVER understood how true that is until that moment I experienced it first hand. Thank you Jesus for the years we had her here.

I have been wanting to do a blog for a while now. How do you adequately put into words how you feel about someone like that. Ginger treated me like a daughter. She loved her family more than life. She would do anything for her family.

She taught me how to cook. Many many things some of the best are stuffing and gravy. She passed on to me the love of crystal. She gave me her son. She loved him SO SO much! I am forever grateful to her for all she did not only for me but her whole family.

Most days it is still not real. I find myself wanting to ask Ira have you talked to your mom. They say time will heal the pain and the empty feeling. I look foreword to that. I know that one day I will see her again. Thank you thank you for everything.

My baby boy is 3

My sweet sweet baby is three. I feel so so happy that he is healthy and growing, but a little part of me is sad. It absolutely amazes me how fast they grow.

Preggers

He was born on 10/29/08 at 7:59 AM. He was so cute and little. Both of my boys were so little when they were born. I really just love the baby stage. I would like to think that both of the boys are mama's boys.

Love at first sight

One year old

Jatin is such a sweet little boy. He loves loves his big brother. I can hardly keep clothes on the kid. He loves to be outside. It is definitely a cowboy. He will only wear his cowboy boots! He will be voted the class clown. It's amazing to me that he really understands humor, when to use it and sarcasm. He is definitely my spirited child.

Two years old (the hospital party)

Last year we had to cancel his party because Ira was in the hospital. So this year we wanted him to have a big party. We were not sure if we would be in our house so it was a last minute push to get everything done.

Our New Home

When I started this blog my first post was going to be about our new house. Little did I know it would take five months and six days to close on our home. In the interim I found another topic to start with.

Front view

We first put in our contract in mid May. We were suppose to sign and be in the house by June 15. We soon found out that the house was under the foreclosure process. Since we put a contract on the house the bank started the process of the short sale. The term would imply that it would go fast or a short amount of time. WEEELLL not so much! Needless to say it was a very long process.

The entry hall way. I have no idea why picture is like this can't get it to turn ;)

Mason's green room

I think the second day after we signed Ira moved horses ;)

Horse barn

The end result is our little family being that much more grateful for our home and excited to be in it. We have been here a week. Lots and lots of unpacking and decorating to come.

We give Jesus all the honor and glory. It is by his hand that we were able to get such a wonderful little place for our family. We are so so blessed!

T-Ball Wrap Up

Mason had a great season of t-ball. His team the Raptors made it to the second round in the tournament. They played two games last Saturday.

They lost the first, but won the second. Mason such a good game that he got the game ball!!! We are SO SO proud of him! He made a double play and at least one more out. Had a two base hit and had several RBI. Ha Ha like I know what I'm talking about.

The round two game on Sunday was lost but you would have never known. The kids had a great time. Way to go Raptors Fall 2011!!
We will see you next year fall ball!
